1. Service Overview & Purpose

SecureClip is a browser-based clipboard sharing tool designed to facilitate the secure transfer of text content between devices through a unique 4-digit identifier (Clipboard ID). The service employs dual-layer encryption to protect your data and provides temporary storage with user-controlled deletion capabilities.

2. User Responsibility & Content

You are solely responsible for:

• The content you share using SecureClip
• The distribution of Clipboard IDs to intended recipients
• The manner in which you use the service and compliance with applicable laws
• Managing and deleting your shared content when no longer needed

3. Security Limitations & ID Protection

SecureClip implements robust encryption measures including:

• Dual-layer encryption (content key encrypted with a separate secret key)
• Server-side data protection where even we cannot decrypt your content
• Temporary storage with automatic cleanup mechanisms

However, the security of your shared content depends entirely on the confidentiality of your Clipboard ID. If you share the ID with unauthorized parties, they will have access to your clipboard content. We strongly recommend:

1. Only sharing Clipboard IDs with trusted individuals
2. Using the deletion feature immediately after content transfer is complete
3. Not using SecureClip for highly sensitive information (passwords, financial data, etc.)
4. Being aware that Clipboard IDs can be guessed or brute-forced (though unlikely with our 4-digit alphanumeric system)

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use SecureClip for:

• Sharing illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
• Harassing or harming others through shared content
• Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Attempting to circumvent our security measures or access others' content without authorization

5. Data Retention & Deletion

SecureClip offers the following data management features:

• User-Initiated Deletion: You can delete your shared clipboard content at any time using the delete function
• Temporary Storage: Content is stored temporarily and subject to automated cleanup
• No Content Access: Due to our encryption model, we cannot access, read, or recover your content even if requested

Once content is deleted, it is permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered by anyone, including SecureClip administrators.

6. Service Availability & Modifications

SecureClip is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We:

• Do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time
• May update this disclaimer periodically; continued use constitutes acceptance of updates
• Are not liable for any loss of data, content, or functionality resulting from service changes

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SecureClip and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service
• Any unauthorized access to or disclosure of your content due to ID sharing or security breaches not directly caused by our negligence
• Any content loss, corruption, or unavailability
• Any third-party actions, including misuse of shared Clipboard IDs
• Any damages resulting from reliance on the service for critical or sensitive data transfer

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecureClip, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the service
• Your violation of this disclaimer
• Your infringement of any third-party rights
• Any content you share through the service

9. Intellectual Property

The SecureClip service, including its design, functionality, and branding, is protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

10. Governing Law

This disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts.
